Although this building isn't quite so sparkling anymore, "Morakot" means emerald in Thai. The green/white fade looks crisp. Gonna have to use that.

Fantasy Dream Salon Castle In The Sky?

I don't really understand
the choice of graphics for this hair salon window,
but at least it makes me think happy thoughts.

Green Is Good
All the studies show that green tea is good for you in many ways, from boosting your immune system, to lowering cholesterol, to even reducing the chances of getting certain types of cancer. So these days I've been trying to drink it more regularly (not just when I'm at Japanese restaurants). I like this one for its clean and simple package design.

Girls, Girls, Girls
A dying breed - I kinda forgot we still have one or two of these in Vancouver down on Granville St. - the old arcade/girlie movie combo. Never actually been in one, but that signage is dope! And someone actually still plays pinball!?!

Winner: Best Use Of Microsoft Office 97 Photo Editor
This is a huge wall ad near my apartment for a new spa. I love how they have (badly) cut out the people and just dropped them directly in the foreground. She's getting a massage while floating on the water?? I can see they tried a little harder with the pavilion, by blurring the edges a bit in an attempt to make it blend in, but the proportions are awesome - either the people are giants or the hut is made for midgets. And finally, there's a poor attempt at placing their logo on the back wall. As if this is really where the spa is..If designers are actually getting paid for this quality of work, I gotta get back into doing print!

Sigh..
Coming off a great Winter Olympics, Canada can be proud not only of its results in the medals standings, or of the way it hosted the world, but also of it's lovable Olympic mascots: Quatchi, Miga, Sumi, and Mukmuk.
Shanghai's World Expo is opening this May. We have "Haibao", Gumby's lesser known cousin.

I Know Where You Live
Lots of great inspiration in Bangkok for hand-done and weathered looking graphics. This was the street address on someone's house.

Beavers & Horses
I like my instant oatmeal for breakfast, and tried this new box of apple cinnamon. More than anything though, I love the colour combo of this packaging. Bonus points to anyone who can guess the question to this answer.
